From Arran, with Love!

What a fab day I spent yesterday on Arran where I had the privilege of conducting the naming ceremony for Benjo amongst his family and friends.

The ceremony was delivered in the glorious sunshine in front of a beautiful home in Lamlash with the Holy Isle as a backdrop.

This was a special one for me as this had been the ceremony I wrote along with Benjo's mum, Kate and presented for my assessment back in March. So this was the one that set me on my path as a registered Humanist Celebrant!

Benjo had asked that we all dress in something blue - his favourite colour. He was looking particularly cool in his trendy shirt and blue shades!

Thanks to Kate and her lovely family for having me - and for inviting me to stay for the brilliant barbecue. Thanks also to Charlie for taking the great photos throughout the day.

...I may have caught the sun - just as well Judith insisted on me smothering on the factor 50!

I'd forgotten how beautiful Arran is. What a brilliant day!
