I'm pleased to let everyone know that my training with Humanist Society Scotland is now fully complete and I'm beyond delighted to announce that I've now been confirmed as a fully qualified celebrant!
This means that I'm now able to conduct Funerals along with Weddings & Vow Renewals as well as Naming & Welcoming Ceremonies.
I have a busy calendar for the rest of this year, and well into 2024, with bookings way exceeding my expectations for my first full year as a celebrant, but I can honestly say that I'm loving every minute of it. As one of my colleague celebrants told me at the start of my training, ""being a celebrant is the best job in the world!".
She wasn't wrong!
Sorry for the very stern photo. This is me going for a more serious look, but rest assured I'll always have time for a reassuring and empathetic smile during a funeral, especially when I'm sharing a wonderful story that a family has shared with me about their loved one.
